Scope: Server-wide. 16 rounds total (8 rounds/day, every 3 hours starting at reset). Each round lasts 20 minutes. Rewards: Cocoon fragments and Component Modules.

Fleet Setup

Forget everything you know about balanced fleets. This event is one variable: damage output.

Go Full Damage. Enemy counter-attack damage is minimal and does not scale. Stack DPS, ignore everything else.

Ignore Defense. Defensive stats and abilities are useless here. Don't bring Klara because she "feels safe."

Champion Swaps. Swap utility/defensive champions (like Klara, Doug, or Ajita) for pure damage dealers — even if they are only Epic quality. A naked Epic DPS outscores a kitted Legendary tank.

Hunt Alone

Where you fight matters more than most players realize. There's a ~7% hidden damage tax just for being in a crowd.

Hunt Alone. Fighting in a crowd reduces your output by roughly 7%. That's a free top-100 finish for anyone who reads this guide.

Solo Spot. Find a location to be alone — usually in lower-level systems — to maximize your damage window.

Stay Put. Damage is tracked by location. Fighting in different systems simultaneously will not add up your scores. Pick one spot, stay there.

Wave Structure

Each 20-minute round runs the same pattern. Knowing it lets you pace your burst windows.

10 Waves Per Round

Each round consists of 10 waves of a single Calamity Ship with 10 seconds between waves.

Wave 10 Damage Sponge

Ships have increasing HP. The final ship (Wave 10) has nearly 10 billion HP — not meant to be defeated. Pour DPS until the round ends.

Daily Goal Reward Threshold

Defeat at least 5 ships in a single round to claim your daily rewards.

Leaderboard Ranking

Informative only — there are no extra rewards for leaderboard ranking. Don't burn resources chasing top spots.

Where to Hunt

Find the right portal, find the right zone.

Locations. Calamity portals appear in every level 4, 6, 7, and 9 system — 9 locations total. Look for the specific red/pink portal icon on the galaxy map to zoom directly to the event.
